DTCI deploys leading-edge, world-class technologies to drive content in ways that sets new standards, delights consumers, delivers value to advertisers and distributors and creates future growth opportunities for The Walt Disney Company. It is also responsible for The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including: the ESPN+ sports streaming service, programmed in conjunction with ESPN; Disney+, the upcoming Disney-branded direct-to-consumer streaming service; Hotstar, the leading over-the-top streaming service in India; and the Company’s majority ownership stake in Hulu.
Disney Advertising Sales
Disney Advertising Sales is a one-stop-shop for advertisers to reach audiences across all of Disney’s media properties, including its broadcast, online and direct-to-consumer platforms.
Disney Streaming Services
Disney Streaming Services is responsible for developing and operating The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer video businesses globally, including the ESPN+ premium sports streaming service and Disney+, the upcoming Disney subscription video service. Disney Streaming also operates the flagship NHL app and out-of-market package, NHL.TV, and provides technology services for third-party clients.
Global Content Sales and Distribution
Global Content Sales & Distribution further enhances the company’s global reach and opportunities through the combined efforts of home entertainment, U.S. and international programming sales, post-theatrical film sales, and the distribution of branded direct-to-consumer services.
With a focus on maximizing Disney’s opportunities in international media markets and expanding the company’s global footprint, DTCI is in charge of regional teams stretching from Europe to Asia to Latin America with responsibilities for the Company’s more than 500 international Disney, Fox and Star India channels.
DTCI Technology creates products, platforms, and innovations for the DTCI Segment and the Walt Disney Company (TWDC) by driving the strategic development and use of technology, building scalable systems and products to empower the DTCI and TWDC businesses and engage consumers. It is responsible for worldwide linear and digital media distribution, design and development of consumer-facing digital products, advertising technology, consumer data platforms, and international broadcast engineering and operations. It’s engineers, designers, data scientists, product developers and problem solvers are located in more than 40 countries around the world and enable enterprise-wide capability to deliver on the promise of more direct consumer relationships, more personalized product experiences and more connection and engagement with content and advertising.
